What type of activities will my son/daughter do at the teambuilding and tryouts?
Our tryouts are very similar to Total Demize Soccer Club team training sessions conducted throughout the year. Our Teambuilding & Tryouts are designed for players to be introduced to our coaching staff & their coaching styles while showcasing their individual soccer abilities. Players will participate in technical skills (dribbling, passing, shooting, etc.) & play in small sided & full-field game situations.
Who are the professional coaches for the Total Demize Soccer Club?
Total Demize Soccer Club is the home to the top coaches in southwest Missouri. Total Demize SC’s professional & club coaches hold either a USSF or NSCAA Coaching Licenses. Our professional coaching staff currently includes Armen Tonianse, the former Assistant Coach at Western Illinois University & current Head Coach of the Springfield Demize PDL, Brett Thomas, a former professional player with the North Virginia Royals, Eddie Conde a former Missouri State Division I college player in his second season playing in the PDL with the Springfield Demize, Jack Rowden a former collegiate player at Rockhurst University & our Director of Coaching, Chris Hanlon. After the teams are formed the coaching staff is put into place to meet the needs of each team in the club.
What amount of travel is required?
The Total Demize Soccer Academy program (U-6 thru U-8) has all their practices & league games in the Springfield Area. At our next club level, the Total Demize SC League teams practice & play locally & may participate in one or two in-state tournaments during their program (this is encouraged, but not required). Total Demize SC’s competitive levels & College Showcase teams will participate in both league play & tournaments throughout the Mid-West Region in an effort to prepare them for both high school & collegiate soccer. Our college search tournament team focuses specifically on these tournaments to expose the players to the collegiate recruiting process.
How much are the player fees?
The different age groups & club levels determine the Total Demize Soccer Club player fees. These fees are inclusive for players of all ages & skill levels. Fees include ALL coaching & training (fall/winter/spring), league games (fall/spring), tournaments (competitive/college search), summer team camp, facility rentals (fall/winter/spring), insurance, office fees & training equipment. The only item not covered is indoor/futsal league fees (typically $50 per session). There is a separate uniform fee for TDSC ($85) & TDSA ($70). What is a typical season of practices and games FOR THE Total Demize SC?
The fall season begins in late July or early August with Team Camps & runs through the beginning of November. Typically there are two practices a week & league games on Saturday. The winter season begins in the middle of November & runs through the first of February. During the winter all teams practice indoors at least once a week. Spring season begins middle of February & ends first of June. Tournaments will supplement team practices & league play throughout the year.
What is the Total Demize Soccer Academy (TDSA)?
The Total Demize Soccer Academy is a Youth Academy for Under 7 & 8 Boys & Girls. TDSA consists of three training options: a ten-month program. There will also be a discount for the TDSA 10 month program (Fall/Winter/Spring). Each program consists of one practice & one optional practice a week. It is the initial step into the Total Demize Soccer Club for players & families. All players are accepted into the TDSA Youth Program.
What distinguishes the Total Demize Soccer Club from other soccer organizations?
The Total Demize Soccer Club is unique because our professional coaching staff creates an environment where Total Demize SC’s Club players learn the game of soccer in a positive atmosphere. Our professional coaching staff not only interacts with Total Demize SC’s players, but also with our Club Staff Coaches & Team Managers in order to maximize the player & team development for each age group. Friendly scrimmages combined with practices, league games, tournament play & shared coaching duties allow us to accomplish player development.
Total Demize SC Club activities (practices/games/tournaments/player placement) are instituted by Chris Hanlon (Director of Coaching) & Armen Tonianse. Both have an extensive playing & coaching backgrounds at the youth, collegiate & professional levels of soccer. The Total Demize Soccer Club’s Professional Coaching Staff has the ability to expose players to the collegiate & professional levels of soccer. In 2006, Danny Curro was the first Total Soccer Club Alum to receive a Collegiate Athletic Scholarship. In 2008, Robbie Curtis, Adam Legg, Austin Crosby, Quincy Conduff, Josh Maloney, Nick Robinson, Adam Hammonds, Josh Lanier, TJ Martin, Jason Taylor & Eric Chapman have joined the growing list of former Alum of the Total Soccer Club & Total Demize SC that have now entered the collegiate ranks. Total Demize SC also has numerous boys & girls participating with Missouri’s Olympic Development Program.
